The Best Family-Friendly Hotels in Dubai for a Luxury Holiday with Kids

Dubai does family holidays like nowhere else. Think sunshine guaranteed, five-star service as standard, and hotels that don’t just tolerate children — they actively design entire resorts around them. The challenge isn’t finding a great family hotel in Dubai; it’s narrowing it down to the right one.

Having visited Dubai with my family, which remains one of my favourite holiday destinations I have  researched extensively to bring together this roundup of the very best luxury hotels for families. Whether water parks are non-negotiable, kids’ clubs are essential, or you want somewhere that balances wow-factor with genuine relaxation, these are the Dubai hotels that truly deliver.

Atlantis, The Palm

Few hotels anywhere in the world are as instantly recognisable as Atlantis, The Palm — and for families, it’s every bit as spectacular as you’d hope. This iconic resort is less “hotel” and more self-contained destination, where days can easily pass without ever needing to leave.

With multiple swimming pools, a pristine private beach, a spa that rivals standalone wellness retreats and an extraordinary dining line-up, Atlantis excels on every front. Service remains impressively polished despite the resort’s vast scale, and families are exceptionally well catered for.

What really sets Atlantis apart is what’s included: unlimited access to Aquaventure Waterpark and the Lost Chambers Aquarium. Being able to wander into the aquarium at any hour or spend entire days conquering waterslides is a game-changer for parents travelling with kids. Add a strong kids’ club (ages 4+), spacious family rooms and seamless service, and it’s easy to see why this is one of Dubai’s most popular family hotels.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Jumeirah Beach Hotel remains one of my all-time favourite family resorts in Dubai — a classic for very good reason. Its striking wave-shaped design has become synonymous with luxury family travel in the city, and the experience still feels remarkably current decades on.

Set directly on a wide sweep of private beach with uninterrupted Burj Al Arab views, this is a resort where families genuinely come first. Five pools (including shallow options for little ones), a long-established kids’ club and family-friendly dining are all part of the package — but the real headline is unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark next door.

Having Wild Wadi on tap transforms a stay here. It’s big, bold and brilliant, yet close enough that popping back to your sun lounger is effortless. I would highly recommend looking at their club level rooms for access to their executive lounge and private pool.

Add warm, intuitive service, thoughtfully designed family rooms and an impressive choice of restaurants – again look their Jumeriah flavours offer for a chance to dine at 30 restaurants, and you have a beachfront hotel that consistently gets it right.

The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina

If your children want waterslides but you are looking for more “chic” than “theme park”, The Westin Mina Seyahi is a perfect compromise. Its Jungle Bay waterpark is compact, beautifully designed and refreshingly subtle — ideal for younger children without overwhelming parents.

The resort sits on a gorgeous private beach and offers several swimming pools, excellent dining (particularly accommodating for allergies) and generously sized rooms. The legendary Bubbalicious brunch is also worth planning into your stay.

A well-run kids’ club (ages 4+) rounds out the offering, making this a great choice for families who want polished luxury with just enough playful energy.

JA Palm Tree Court

For families who want sunshine, space and a slower pace, JA Palm Tree Court is an outstanding alternative to Dubai’s busier beachfront resorts. Located on the outskirts of the city, this low-rise, tropical retreat feels worlds away from the skyscrapers.

Rooms here are among the largest you’ll find in Dubai, and the 800-metre private beach is a major draw. While the location means a longer transfer (around 40 minutes), you’re rewarded with a resort that feels expansive, calm and wonderfully green.  Another bonus of a stay here if you have kids that love theme parks is that Dubai Parks & Resorts, including Legoland & Motiongate, are literally right on your doorstep.

Facilities are exceptional: a crèche from four months, a brilliant kids’ club, a mini animal farm, multiple pools, a splash park, shaded play areas, watersports, golf and endless outdoor space to explore. Dining is also a highlight, with guests free to eat across more than 25 restaurants, many using produce from the hotel’s own gardens. It’s relaxed, family-focused and ideal for longer stays.

Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort

Anantara The Palm feels refreshingly different from much of Dubai. Inspired by Thai architecture, the resort is built around lagoon-style pools, with red-roofed pavilions, floating market boats and even tuk-tuks ferrying guests around.

Accommodation options are particularly appealing for families, including swim-up rooms and the UAE’s only over-water villas. Dining is consistently praised, and the kids’ club (ages 3+) is well regarded.

The trade-off comes with location and beach quality: while peaceful and scenic, the resort is around 45 minutes from the airport and from the main sightseeing spots. That said, for families wanting something visually distinctive and calmer  it’s a lovely option.

Grand Hyatt Dubai

Set within beautifully landscaped gardens near Sheikh Zayed Road, Grand Hyatt Dubai offers families a classic five-star resort experience with space, variety and excellent value. Its location strikes a smart balance — close to major attractions, yet far enough from the buzz to feel relaxed, but if you like a beachfront setting this is not the right choice for you.

Accommodation is a real strength here, with a wide choice of family-friendly rooms and suites, including interconnecting options and expansive suites. Outside, the grounds are impressive, with palm-lined walkways, multiple pools and a dedicated splash area for toddlers and younger children, complete with small waterslides.

Dining is another highlight, with a mix of restaurants ranging from casual cafés and patisseries to gastropubs and international dining concepts — ideal for families with varying tastes. When you’re ready to explore beyond the hotel, attractions such as Wafi Mall, Dubai Creek Park, Dubai Garden Glow and Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood are all within easy reach.

Rixos The Palm Hotel & Suites

If an all-inclusive Dubai holiday appeals, Rixos The Palm delivers it with serious style. One of the few true all-inclusive luxury resorts in the city, it’s designed to make family travel as effortless as possible.

The standout for parents is the Rixy Kids Club, which welcomes children from just six months old — a rarity in Dubai. Beyond that, there’s an aqua park, mini farm, climbing wall, cinema, sports academies, workshops and evening entertainment.

Parents aren’t forgotten either, with multiple pools, a traditional hammam and excellent dining options. The beach is immaculate, the Palm location is prime, and the overall experience is indulgent without feeling chaotic.

Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach

For families seeking understated luxury, the Four Seasons delivers an impeccably polished experience. This is the closest beachfront hotel to Downtown Dubai, making it ideal for combining beach time with city sightseeing.

Rooms are spacious, all with balconies, and service is quietly exceptional. The kids’ club (ages 4+) is complimentary and open until 9pm, making evening plans refreshingly easy for parents.

What really sets the Four Seasons apart are the thoughtful details: complimentary nappies, baby toiletries and prams are available, reducing the amount families need to travel with. It’s refined, calm and perfectly suited to parents who want luxury without excess.

Jumeirah Al Naseem

Part of the wider Madinat Jumeirah complex, Jumeirah Al Naseem next to the Jumeriah Beach hotel offers access to one of the most impressive collections of facilities in the Middle East. Staying here means you can enjoy over 40 restaurants, multiple pools, a traditional souk and complimentary access to Wild Wadi.

While Jumeirah Beach Hotel sits closer to the waterpark, Al Naseem offers a more refined, contemporary feel with a little extra breathing space. Aquatic adventures are still easily accessible by buggy or a short walk.

Fairmont The Palm

Fairmont The Palm offers excellent value for families wanting a beachfront base on Palm Jumeirah without the price tag of some neighbouring resorts. Its west-facing location also means beautiful sunsets and easy access to both sea and city.

Facilities are more compact but well executed, with two pools, a small but engaging kids’ club and a manageable selection of restaurants. Children aged three and over attend the kids’ club for free, with younger toddlers welcomed for a small charge.

It’s a great option for families who prefer a calmer resort atmosphere while still being surrounded by the buzz of Palm Jumeirah, and also check out their Fairmont Gold rooms – these can often be booked at not much more than a standard room price and offer lots of benefits such as access to their executive lounge.

Park Hyatt Dubai

Elegant and quietly luxurious, Park Hyatt Dubai is ideal for families who want their holiday to feel stylish without sacrificing child-friendly touches. Set on Dubai Creek, the hotel combines Moorish and Mediterranean design with lush, tranquil grounds.

Children have their own lagoon and access to a supervised 25-metre pool alongside a sandy play area. The Cave Kids’ Club (ages 3–12) is complimentary and operates long hours, while teenagers can relax with parents at the glamorous infinity lagoon beach club.

It’s polished, peaceful and perfect for families who still want their holidays to feel grown-up.

Atlantis The Royal

If Atlantis, The Palm is iconic, Atlantis The Royal is unapologetically extravagant. This vast, ultra-luxury resort takes Dubai’s love of spectacle to the next level, with sky-high pools, fire shows and headline-making architecture.

Families benefit from access to Aquaventure Waterpark and the aquarium, alongside dedicated family pools, splash areas and the Atlantis Explorers’ Club. Despite its scale, service is exceptional — warm, attentive and impressively personal.

This is Dubai dialled up to maximum volume, and for families who love bold experiences, it’s unforgettable.

Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai

Purpose-built with families in mind, Centara Mirage offers one of the most comprehensive child-focused experiences in Dubai. From face painting at check-in to age-specific kids’ clubs, a candy-themed spa and a family lounge, everything here is designed to delight.

Outdoor facilities include waterslides, lazy rivers, inflatables, splash zones and cliff-jumping points, while evening fire shows add an extra layer of drama. Rooms are bright, modern and sensibly priced for what’s included.

For families wanting maximum entertainment without a luxury price tag, this is a standout choice.

The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai (JBR)

Perfectly positioned along the lively JBR Walk, The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai is one of those rare hotels that manages to feel both centrally located and blissfully self-contained. With direct beach access, lush gardens and an atmosphere that’s polished without being stuffy, it’s a fantastic choice for families who want everything within easy reach.

There’s plenty to keep all ages entertained on-site, including six swimming pools dotted throughout the grounds, shaded green spaces to explore and a strong selection of family-friendly activities. The Ritz Kids programme is particularly impressive, offering a dedicated space for children aged 4–12 with daily themed sessions.

Parents will appreciate the seasonal evening kids’ programme, which allows for a rare child-free dinner at one of the hotel’s nine restaurants. Step beyond the gates and you’re immediately immersed in the buzz of Dubai Marina, with its waterfront dining, luxury yachts and easy access to major attractions.

Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts

For families who like their holidays high-energy and packed with adventure, Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts is hard to beat. Designed with a Polynesian influence and surrounded by theme park thrills, this is a hotel for families that love theme parks.

The biggest draw is the proximity to Dubai Parks and Resorts, with unlimited access to the parks included on stays of three nights or more. LEGOLAND, MOTIONGATE and more are quite literally on your doorstep, making this a dream base for theme park-loving families.

When you’re not riding rollercoasters, the resort itself offers plenty of space to unwind. There’s a large lagoon-style pool, a lazy river, a dedicated kids’ pool and a full programme of activities at the Kids and Teens Club. Parents can carve out some downtime at the Ola Spa or gym, while the kids stay happily occupied.

Although it’s a four-star resort, Lapita punches well above its weight in terms of facilities and location.  This is more out of town but many of Dubai’s biggest attractions, including Downtown Dubai, are reachable within around 30 minutes by car.
