With Halloween soon upon us, a popular October tradition in the United States and Canada is picking your own pumpkin and its getting more and more popular in the UK each year.

Here’s some of the best pumpkin patches in the UK for 2024.



Pembrokeshire Pumpkins

This is a great spot for families to choose their own pumpkin at their expansive patch.

Not only do they have a pumpkin patch, kids can explore the spooky hay-bales, and visit the wooded area for a Halloween experience as well as our pumpkin barn with Halloween surprises!

Gower Fresh Halloween

Vale of Glamorgan

Forage Farm at the Penllyn Estate

This is one of the favourite spots pumpkin picking in South East Wales at the stunning Penllyn Estate in the Vale of Glamorgan.  Along with picking pumpkins, kids will also enjoy the tractor rides, face painting, maize maze and the delicious food on offer in their restaurant and farm food hall.

Vale Pick Your Own

Another favourite in the Vale of Glamorgan is Vale Pick Your Own.  From white mini Casper pumpkins to pink Porcelain Dolls, there’s plenty of interesting varieties all nestled within 25 acres for you search for!

This Halloween, along with pumpkin picking, you can get lost in their Scarecrow Maze and lots more including Twilight pumpkin picking!

Avon Valley Adventure Park

This October you can pick your own pumpkin to take home and carve ready for Halloween!  This is the South West’s Biggest PYO Pumpkin Extravaganza! Grab a wheelbarrow and roam through the massive home grown pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin.

Cotswold Farm Park

Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park’s Pumpkin Patch returns for 2023 with thousands of pumpkins are ready to be picked.  Kids will love the new pumpkin crafting tent this year along with the family selfie stations and there are even dog-friendly activities.

Access to the Pumpkin Patch is included in the Farm Park admission ticket, or can be purchased separately, with the option to purchase your favourite pumpkins to take home, additionally, from £1 each.

A free face painter will also be on hand from 11am every day for those that would like to transform into classic Halloween characters and kids will also love the twists and turns of the spooky towering corn in the Maize.

Crockford Bridge Farm Shop

At Crockford Bridge Farm Shop you can choose from a huge selection of beautiful home grown pumpkins – all shapes and sizes!  They are one of Surrey’s largest growers of Pumpkins and are renowned for the high quality of their crop which is painstakingly harvested by hand every year.

Garsons Esher

Garsons Esher is one of the largest pick your own farm in the UK offering more than 30 different crops grown over 150 acres, and in October its famous for it’s pumpkin fields.

Foxes Pumpkin Patch and Maize Maize

The Pumpkin Patch is the original pick your own patch collection in Essex and has been operating since 2015. They operate the biggest and best pumpkin patches in Essex.

At Foxes they have two pumpkin patches in Essex for 2023 in Colchester and Basildon which open on the 30th September.

Bells Pumpkin Patch

With nearly 1,000,000 pumpkins harvested each year all of which
are grown on this family farm in Lincolnshire.  Bell’s is one of the UK’s biggest pumpkin patches.  There is also a huge pumpkin cannon ‘Herald’ that is always a firm favourite, firing pumpkins across the fields at our 12ft target.  The Bounce & Climb, exquisite displays and our vast variety of gourds and squashes are further examples of what is on offer.

Trentham Gardens

Explore the Maze for pumpkins nestled within the patch as search for the spiral path leading you to the top of the spooky maze.

From small to large, orange to white, we’ve got pumpkins for everyone to pick! Enjoy a hot chocolate and a toffee apple as you hunt high and low for the perfect pumpkin.

National Forest Adventure Farm

The National Forest Adventure Farm is one of the most popular attractions in the local area for good reason offering exciting indoor fun, outdoor adventure and farm animals

Undley Pumpkin Patch

At Undley they have a fantastic crop of Pumpkins, Gourds and Squashes to choose from this year from their pumpkin patch. Collect your wheel-barrow on arrival and pick your pumpkins.

There will be an incredible 25 varieties of pumpkins and 36 different varieties of gourds to choose from, with picking direct from the vines.

Mr Pumpkin

Cammas Hall Farm

Cairnie Fruit Farm & Mega Maze

Set in the beautiful Fife countryside Cairnie Fruit Farm & Mega Maze offers a brilliant fun filled day out for the whole family especially in October for Halloween.

They have over 12000 pumpkins of all sizes, shapes and colours. All the pumpkins are great for carving or cooking with and will store for weeks in a cool spot



Arnprior Farm

This pumpkin patch at Arnprior Farm is set in is beautiful region of Loch Lomond and less than an hour’s drive from Glasgow.  They have more than 20,000 pumpkins can be picked over 12 acres, including giant Cinderella orange pumpkins.

As well as pumpkins, we have a quad pod ride, pumpkin cannon, bale mountain, an indoor hay barn, face painting, bouncy castle, lots of photo opportunities and much much more.

North Berwick

Balgone Pumpkins

This is Scotland’s largest pumpkin patch with over 50,000 pumpkins in 27 distinct varieties over a huge 10-acre patch.  Their 2km haunted trail also looks so much fun but keep your wits about you as all kinds of ghosts and ghouls could cross your path.  Before you leave make sure you visit the Crooked Cauldron and get your share of the treats with toasted marshmallows on offer by the lakeside.

A family favourite for families in Edinburgh and surrounding areas is Craigies
