With Halloween soon upon us, a popular October tradition in the United States and Canada is picking your own pumpkin and its getting more and more popular in the UK each year.

Vale of Glamorgan
Hendrewennol Fruit Garden
At family run Hendrewennol which is located in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan is one of the biggest and most visited pick your own farms in South Wales. The fruit fields of Hendrewennol are transformed in Autumn for Halloween and has a great range of pumpkins in their fields for children to choose.
Their Halloween sessions start on October 26th and run through half term with activities including making your own broomstick, pumpkin carving, web making, a spooky village and a terror trail.

Brookgrove is a family run farm just outside Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, West Wales and their popular Pumpkin Patch opens in October (10th) each year and is great fun for all ages. They have a huge range of pumpkins to pick all grow at the farm from big ones, little ones, orange ones and white ones – it’s quite a spectacle

Crockford Bridge Farm Shop
At Crockford Bridge Farm Shop you can choose from a huge selection of beautiful home grown pumpkins – all shapes and sizes! During the half term week there is plenty of fun at their pumpkin patch including apple bobbing, face painting, pumpkin carving, creepy tepee and more.
There is also the Circus of Oz where you wander through the woods and experience a 30 minute fantasy performance.

Secretts Farm in Surrey is a sprawling farm growing an estimated 30,000 pumpkins in their fields which opens on the 24th October. There are tractor and trailor rides to take you into the pumpkin fields ready for children to pick for Halloween.
As well as picking your own pumpkin during their pumpkin week there are a range of activities on offer from face painting, biscuit decorating, pumpkin themed sweet and savoury snacks and more.

Foxes Pumpkin Patch and Maize Maize
At Foxes Pumpkin Patch and Maize Maize they now have two pumpkin patches in Essex for 2016 in Colchester and Basildon. They offer you the chance to visit their pumpkin patches and pick your own pumpkin direct from the field.
There are a variety of games too including a maize trail, and “pump-kin” bowling to keep all the wannabe witches and wizards occupied! They have pick your own multi-coloured Halloween corn- perfect for decorating your house for Halloween!

At Kenyon Hall Farm they go pumpkin crazy and this year Farmer Tod has grown more than 10,000 pumpkins and open up their fields in October for you to Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin.
You can carve your pumpkins with Winnie The Witch and her helpers and enjoy a spooky story time with Mrs Pumpkin. There is also Halloween-themed food, drinks and treats and pick up some fabulous Halloween decorations and gifts

Piglets Adventure Farm
At Piglets Adventure Farm there is so much on offer for Halloween during their Pumpkin Festival. At Undley they have a fantastic crop of Pumpkins, Gourds and Squashes to choose from this year from their pumpkin patch. Collect your wheel-barrow on arrival and pick your pumpkins.

Hatton Adventure World
The popular Pumpkin Week returns to Hatton Adventure World from 21 – 29 October. Children can visit the popular family attraction to pick their own FREE pumpkin, carve it in the spooky decorated Marquee and then enter the best carved pumpkin competition to win a host of prizes.

At Tulleys their daytime Halloween festival will be the biggest and best to date. Their Pumpkin Patch isn’t a Pumpkin, he’s just a very enthusiastic pumpkin grower! He has his own patch and will tell you all about how to grow pumpkins. He’s even got a song about it!
