Gnoll Country Park

This is a great place to keep children entertained and best of all it is on my door step.  We tend to walk into the country park but like most people if you are taking your car there is a £2 all day parking charge.  Pay and Display machines are scattered throughout the car park.

The park is well sign posted throughout Neath and you enter via the main entrance gates.

There is an adventure park for older children and a gated smaller park for younger children with a swings, slides, roundabout, climbing apparatus and bouncers.

There are plenty of picnic benches available or you can bring your own picnic and eat this anywhere in the grounds.  There is a visitor centre serving light meals and snacks and also toilets and gift shop selling duck food for 50p, balls and small toys.

There is a large lake opposite the visitor centre where you can feed the ducks and other birds.  There is also a fishing platform but permits are required for this activity.

There are many woodland walks that you can take through the park and one route leads you to the ruins of the Gnoll Estate.  There are some fantastic photo opportunites of the waterfall and surrounding area.

During school holidays there are events on every Tuesday such as fairground rides and other activities on these occasions, which are always very popular especially with our girls!
