Heatherton Activity World is a family fun sport and leisure park with a free admission policy and features more than 25 activities located less than 10 minutes away from Tenby by car.
Open all year round, activities from water zorbing, baseball, crazy golf and a driving school to archery, high ropes and soft play, it makes for the perfect family day out.
Top Rides for younger children:
Indiana’s Indoor Soft Play, located in the main entrance building. We didn’t use this activity but on days where the weather is poor then this would be a good option.
Inflatable slide, climb up a netted inflatable and slide all the way down to the bottom, a simple activity but one that children will love!
4×4 Land Rover Experience, requires an older child (age 7) to drive and can take a younger passenger. The girls really enjoyed this activity and was a real test of their driving skills!
Barrel train, where you climb in your own individual carriage and are pulled along by a tractor around a field, the rides lasts about 5 minutes and was good fun.
Driving school is a proud moment and laughter for parents as they watch their child drive around in their own car practising their driving techniques at the traffic lights and following the road markings on a mini road circuit. At the end of the ride they receive a driving a licence.
Maize Maze, suitable for all ages, we didn’t use the maze. We felt it didn’t look that inviting we though so we skipped this to do another activity.
Bumper Boats, need to be age 6 to ride alone or can go on with a parent. Inflatable bumper petrol boats that you are in control over, great fun when you bump into other boats and try to avoid getting wet toes!
The Pirates of The Caribbean Adventure Golf, suitable for all ages and was good fun and golf clubs can be picked up from the cabin nearby, and the crazy golf course was really well themed and although it cost 2 credits per person it was an activity that lasts a long time.
Fox Carts and Cub bikes ,there are two different age ranges for the Fox Carts and Cub bikes, riding around the farm area on the bikes.
Activities for adults and older children include, go karts on one of the largest circuits in Wales, baseball, a golf driving range, climbing wall, water zorbing walk on water, pistol shooting, archery, laser clays, zip lines, Tree Tops high ropes and Master Blaster is good fun if you like to get wet, lots of older boys with giant water guns. A sealed off area so mums and dads can watch in the safe zone.
All activities are manned by staff who are there to provide help and support when required, however we did feel that some members of staff could have been friendlier especially toward the children.
We didn’t manage to do any of these activities but my husband really wanted a go at the baseball and laser clays which looked really good, but we ran out of time.
Food and drinks are available in the park and there is also lots or grass areas and picnic tables for you to bring your own supplies. The toilet facilities were clean and in good locations.
Passes can be purchased from main entrance, opposite the pistol shooting or at Tree Tops. Upon arrival we were given a map showing the list of activities on offer and how many credits these activities would cost. Individual passes start at £12 for 6 credits. Most rides are one credit; however some activities such as Adventure golf are 2 credits per person.
We bought a 30 credit pass which costs £55, other passes are available. We had received a £5 off coupon during our last visit to Folly Farm, www.folly-farm.co.uk. Individual passes are only valid for the day you purchase it family/group passes are valid for 6 months from date of entry. We used 16 credits during our visit and can enjoy going back on another occasion. Passes are a little on the expensive side but if you are a family of four and you all want to try out the activities the park has to offer then it works out good value for money.
Good Tip:
I would recommend age 3 and up for the activities.
If you have younger children the overflow car park is the best place to park and is 200 yards passed the main entrance on the right hand side of the road.
